Not many know about this 1955 gem or the film. At least uncommon. "One Day at a Time" appeared on ABC, Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. on the Cavalcade Theater. The two-hour true-life drama, starring James Daly (his photo on p.11), recounts a successful businessman whose career was destroyed by his alcoholism. With the help of a physician friend, similarly addicted, the two started a group that became ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS. (James Bell film) The write-up and listing is on page A-29.
