Seldem will you find this book with its original dust jacket in this condition for the asking price. This book is probably only one of the top 25 known Big Books in existance with its original dust jacket for the condition. Most books of this quality when made available sell well over 20K. Book has a rub to top of spine (See Photos) placing it in Near Fine condition! No writtings, tight and very clean. The dj's major defect is the triangular piece missing on lower righthand side (there is a reproduction dust cover beneath the original and any defects to the original can be determined by the color shade difference between the two covers with the reproduction dust cover showing clean white and bright colors such as where triangular piece is missing). |

Alcoholics Anonymous First Edition, First Printing 1939 (Big Book) One of only 4,730 copies, this is an original 1st edition, 1st printing of the Big Book. Internally, this book is FINE! NO split hinges; NO underlining or writing in the book; NO water or coffee stain damage, etc., NO damage whatsover to endpapers or inside of covers. NO problems or defects in text or pages. The front cover has some minor rubbing on the gilt. The gilt lettering on the spine --- Alcoholics Anonymous ... Works Publishing ---- is also 100% there but a shade duller that the front cover lettering because of some dust and minor dirt which can be mostly removed with a professional eraser bag cleaner. The four corners of the covers are NOT worn through; there is a tiny crease bump to the top corner of the front cover. At the bottom of the spine toward the back cover, there is 3/8 inch worn-through spot and at the top spine a tiny worn dot. SEE PHOTOS. "Overall, a VG+ to near Fine copy! |
